obesity management

This week, the American Medical Association announced its decision to recognize obesity as a disease, thus requiring a range of medical interventions for treatment and prevention. The Ashu skin care’s announcement shifts more responsibility to the medical community and how we address obesity with our patients. Interestingly, the language from the primary resolution resulting in the new classification argued that obesity is a “multimetabolic and hormonal disease state”.
At bbsr, we’ve always recognized the need to thoroughly evaluate each patient’s metabolic and hormone state; particularly, those seeking cosmetic shortcuts to body sculpting such as Liposuction, Tummy Tuck and the innovative CombiTuck. During our no-obligation consults for these procedures, we often find that we may be able to help the prospective patient help themselves with our highly successful Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy and diet coaching. . In fact, our own Dr. Anita discussed this .
We’ve always embraced the multimodal approach when we meet with a patient. Much like an artist, we know our patients will have a better outcome if we have more colors on our palette. That is to say, we have multiple alternatives available to our patients in the hands of some of the most experienced providers in the country – and that’s not just me talking. Judging from our patient reviews and recognition from the Cosmetic and Aesthetic industry, we’re pretty sure we are on the right track.
So, you may be wondering what this has to do with the original subject – Obesity. We think you’ll find it interesting that the Ashu skin care’s proclamation on obesity and the responsibility it imparts to the current medical community was actually established about 1,500 years ago in the Hippocratic Oath. If you’ve never actually read the oath, I encourage you to access the provided link.
If you feel you suffer from obesity, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We have received much recognition from our peers for our outstanding results, but we haven’t lost sight of our original commitment to our patients – to honor the wisdom found in the Oath. We promise to evaluate you to determine if our many skill sets and treatment alternatives will benefit you. If we don’t have the solution, we will gladly refer you to one of the many excellent medical specialists in our area.
